Applying your sensor, step by step

1. Step 1

   Use the approved application site

   Official GS1 material identifies the back of the upper arm. Use the positioning and site-selection instructions in the current IFU, including any restrictions that apply to you.

   Product indication and site instructions can vary by market. Use the label and IFU supplied with your sensor.

2. Step 2

   Prepare exactly as directed

   Prepare your hands and skin in the order described by the current IFU and app. The site must meet the product instructions before application. This overview does not replace those preparation steps.

3. Step 3

   Check the sensor pack and applicator

   Confirm the labeled user, expiry, intact packaging, and a phone on the current compatibility list before use. Do not use damaged or expired components, and open or assemble them only as the IFU directs.

4. Step 4

   Apply using the product sequence

   Follow the illustrated application sequence in the current app and product insert. Do not improvise the applicator steps from this overview. Sensation and skin response vary between people.

5. Step 5

   Activate and follow the warm-up

   Use the current SIBIONICS app guidance to activate and pair the sensor. Official product information describes a 1-hour warm-up and readings every 5 minutes once the system is running.

   If activation, pairing, or readings do not behave as described, use the troubleshooting and support route in the current IFU rather than repeating steps from memory.

6. Step 6

   Care for, remove, and replace as directed

   Follow the local IFU for wear, water exposure, removal, disposal, and replacement. Official safety information says to remove the sensor before MRI, X-ray, CT, diathermy, or similar treatment. Check blood glucose when readings do not match symptoms or expectations.

   Water-resistance limits and other label details can differ by market. The country-specific instructions supplied with your sensor are the authority.
